What Is an Abjad Name Analysis Report?

An Abjad name analysis report studies a name written in Arabic script, where every letter carries a fixed numerical value. The letters of a name are valued, totalled and examined for their elemental balance, repetitions and absences, then written up as a private PDF you can return to.

In this studio the tradition is presented as respected symbolic heritage. It is used to describe qualities and tendencies for reflection, never to claim hidden knowledge, unseen certainty or authority over anyone’s destiny.

What Is Hisab al-Jummal?

Hisab al-Jummal is the practice of adding the Abjad values of the letters in a word or name to reach a total. The classical sequence begins alif 1, ba 2, jim 3, dal 4, and continues through to ghayn 1000.

The total is then reduced, compared with other totals, and read alongside the letters that produced it. The report always shows the working so that you can see how a figure was reached.

Why Arabic Spelling Matters

Two people who write their name identically in Latin letters may write it differently in Arabic. A hamza, a doubled letter, a ta marbuta or a long vowel changes the total and therefore the reading.

For this reason we ask for the Arabic spelling you consider correct. If you are unsure, provide the closest transliteration and we will confirm the intended spelling with you before the analysis is prepared.

Name, Mother’s Name and Father’s Name

Classical practice often reads a person’s name together with the mother’s name, and in some lines the father’s name as well. Each combination produces a different total and a different emphasis.

Where you provide these names, the report compares the individual reading with the combined readings and describes what each layer adds. Where you prefer not to share them, the analysis is prepared from your own name alone.
